Benson for Governor Has Nearly $2 Million War Chest as New Poll Confirms Benson is the Frontrunner in 2026
Jocelyn Benson has grown her war chest to $1.9 million since launching her campaign for Governor. With over 14,000 individual contributions and an average donation of $47 since the campaign’s January 22 launch, Secretary Benson’s vision of making Michigan the best place to be a kid, raise a kid, and call home continues to resonate.
“If we want Michigan to be the best, we need a governor who will save Michiganders’ time and money, ensure government works for the people, and will stand up to anyone who threatens our rights and freedoms,” said Benson Campaign Manager Nikki Goldschein. “Jocelyn is that leader, and the enthusiasm and support for her campaign is proof that she has what it takes to make that vision a reality for all Michiganders.”
In addition, a new poll from Target Insyght shows Jocelyn is the overwhelming favorite in the Democratic primary and is far ahead of the Republican and Independent candidates for the November 2026 general election.
Jocelyn has also earned endorsements from state legislators across the state, Mayor of the second largest city in Michigan David LaGrand, and EMILYs List, the nation’s largest organization dedicated to electing more pro-choice Democratic women to office. This strong momentum shows Michiganders believe in Jocelyn’s vision and leadership.
