Jocelyn Benson to Kick Off Statewide “Thrive in Michigan” Tour
On Monday, June 16, 2025, Jocelyn Benson, candidate for Michigan governor, will kick off a statewide tour to unveil her “Thrive in Michigan” agenda to make Michigan the best place to be a kid, raise a kid, and call home. She will make stops across Michigan – in small businesses, holding town halls, and intimate conversations with community members about the issues most important to them. This includes her plans to make sure everyone can afford a home, students have a world class education, and Michiganders don’t have to choose between paying their light bill or paying for groceries.
“People in Michigan are looking for a real vision to combat the economic threats coming out of Washington D.C. They want leaders who will hear them, listen to and see their struggles, and then work together to solve real problems to save them time and money,” said Jocelyn Benson. “That’s why I’m running for governor – to make sure government shows up where you need it, and stays out of where you don’t. Our statewide tour will be an opportunity for our campaign to connect with people in every corner of the state to talk about how we can make Michigan the best place to be a kid, raise a kid, and call home – with good-paying jobs, housing they can afford, quality public education, and policies that ensure anyone can thrive in Michigan.”
The tour will kick off in Traverse City next week with a tour of a local business with Mayor Amy Shamroe and a community listening session with State Rep. Betsy Coffia and Grand Traverse Democrats.
